US Naval Hospital Ship MERCY arrived in Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao last May 29 or the 30th. I was not supposed to be in that ship because I didn’t attend the orientation. However, with my mom’s power, I got my name on the list just in time.
It was the 26th of May that my friend, Omeng, mentioned that she’s headed for Cotabato City that day for some sort of an orientation. Something related to a Navy ship, which I wasn’t aware of at that time. The following day, I texted my mom and dad to ask if they know something about it. Mommy called the Department of Health as ask. On the morning of 28th, I was still asleep, mom called me to inform me that I got on the list of the interpreters. Then I decided to go to Cotabato City the following day. It was a 4-hour trip from Davao City to Cotabato City. I left Davao city around 7:00 in the morning and arrived at Cotabato around 11am. I went immediately to the Dept. of Health. Talked to Kuya Jet and I’m done.
My schedule was night shift of June 2, 3, and 5, then morning shift of 9, 10, and 11.
